Keynote Topic: Scientific discoveries in OIC Member Countries

Abstract:  Over the past 15 years, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has witnessed significant progress and initiatives in various scientific domains. Member countries have established Science and Technology Parks to promote innovation and collaboration between academia, industry, and government. Increased Research and Development (R&D) funding has led to the emergence of world-class research institutions. The Islamic Development Bank has launched programs to support science and technology through grants and loans. Some OIC countries have excelled in space exploration, biotechnology, and healthcare research, including vaccine development. Renewable energy investments aim to diversify energy sources, while nanotechnology and material sciences have led to innovations in electronics and healthcare. Science diplomacy, education, and water and environmental research have also been priorities, fostering international collaboration and capacity building.
