Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher

Vice Chancellor, University of Swat

Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher is a SAARC Gold Medalist, a distinguished professor and vice chancellor of University of SWAT. He has received his PhD degree from GC University Lahore in Plant Ecology in 2006. He has more than 150 original research articles with impact Factor of 245 and citation value of 6000. He has professional experience as agriculture advisor and has Policy and Reform Experience with Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and International Food Policy Research Institute Washington DC, USA. He remained Focal person for Himalaya University Consortium of ICIMOD for Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management. He has worked as Focal Person to Higher Education Commission Islamabad for establishment of Women Campus at University of Swat from June 15, 2017 to September 2019. He also remained member of NCRC of HEC for the disciplines of Botany, Environmental Sciences and Plant Protection

Prof Dr. Rehmatullah Qureshi

He earned PhD degree in the field of Plant Taxonomy & Ethnobotany from the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur (Mir’s), Sindh, Pakistan in 2005. He started his teaching career by joining the Department of Botany, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, and Rawalpindi, Pakistan. So far, he has published 246 research articles, 4 international books and 12 book chapters. His cumulative impact factor is >300 with >7000 citations with h-index 44 and was ranked as 70th Productive Scientists of Pakistan in 2017.  His research interest includes plant biodiversity & conservation, Phytosociology, ethnobotany, pharmacology and biochemistry. He has founded a spin-off company called “Himalayan Hemp & Herbal Products (Pvt.) Limited” and developed 20 commercial products. He also initiated a skill-based degree in BEMS at his university.

Prof Dr. Tariq Mahmood

Dr. Tariq Mahmood got his PhD degree from PMAS-UAAR in Biochemistry and is working at Department of Plant Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, since 2007. He is an active member of Pakistan Science Academy. With a exceptional record of over 200 publications, 55 book chapters, more than 8000 citations and h-index of 46, he stands among the prominent scientists of Pakistan. He is recipient of Prof. Abdul Salam Prize in biology under 40, talented young scientist program sponsored by Ministry of Science, China. Dr. Mahmood is applying modern biological strategies; Biomarkers, Phytochemistry, Nanobiotechnology and molecular biology to find solutions for challenging concerns of food security and rapid climate change.

Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad

Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad is a Fellow of TWAS (The World Academy of Sciences), the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), and the prestigious PIFI-CAS. With an outstanding record of over 990 scientific publications, 60 books, more than 23, 000 citations, and an H-index of 75, he stands among the top 1% of scientists globally. His pioneering work in Biodiversity, developing alternative crops for green technologies, and modern food and bioenergy systems is already helping to shape future-focused strategies aligned with global interests. He is recipient of many international awards and honours, Honorary Professorship and country’s highest civil award Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. Prof. Dr. Hamayun Shaheen

University of AJK

Dr. Hamayun Shaheen is a tenured Professor of Botany at the University of AJK, specialized in the vegetation ecology of the Himalayan alpine and temperate regions. He holds a PhD in Plant Sciences along with a postgraduate diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing. Leading a research group, his work integrates botany and geospatial tools to study threatened species and address climate change and biodiversity loss. He have secured significant national-level research grants and completed five different research projects. Dr. Shaheen is an author of more than 100 articles with citation score of >2500 and h-index of 24.

Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman

Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman is serving as Patron-in-Chief at International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (H. E. J. Research Institute of Chemistry and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research) University of Karachi, Karachi. Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman has over 1267 publications in the fields of organic chemistry including 50 patents, 366 books and 70 chapters in books published by major U.S. and European presses and 781research publications in leading international journals. On the basis of his researches, 82 students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees in various areas of natural product chemistry. His first book entitled “Biosynthesis of Indole Alkaloids” was published by Oxford University Press, England.

Dr. Muhammad Naeem Ahmed

Associate Professor/Chairman Department of Chemistry UAJ&K

Dr. Muhammad Naeem Ahmed completed his Ph.D. degree in the field of Organic Synthesis/ Heterocyclic Chemistry. He spent six months in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University Beijing under the HEC Pakistan IRSIP Fellowship Program, where he worked on Click chemistry as well as on new methodology for the synthesis of Aryl Ethers. He is working as Associate Professor & Chairman Department of Chemistry UAJ&K. He has served the university as Director of ORIC (office of research innovation and Commercialization). He has participated in a great number of conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposia as an invited/guest speaker. He has been declared UAJ&K University’s best teacher in the science group. He has published more than 94 research articles.

Dr. Sajjad Hussain Sumrra

Chairperson Tenured Associate Professor (TTS) Department of Chemistry, University of Gujrat

Dr. Sajjad Hussain Sumrra was awarded Indigenous Scholarship for PhD by HEC, Pakistan, and IRSIP Scholarship for PhD by HEC, Pakistan. He is a member of Pakistan Chemical Society, Royal Chemical Society, UK. & American Chemical Society, USA. As Principal Investigator he has also completed the projects. He has Research work in the field of coordination chemistry/medicinal chemistry/material chemistry. His research work is an attempt to seek for solution to the gross problem related to pharmaceuticals and clinical issues including antibiotic resistance as organisms have developed microbial resistance against multiple organic drugs due to extensive misuse of antimicrobial agents. Prof. Dr Manzar Sohail is serving as Head of the Department of Chemistry at SNS NUST. He did his PhD from Monash University Australia. COMPUTER SCIENCE

Dr Mudassar Raza

Dr. Mudassar Raza, SMIEE, Chair Publications (Elect), IEEE Islamabad Section, is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Namal University, Mianwali, Pakistan. He has an overall job experience (teaching + research) of more than 20 years at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Previously, he has served in Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Research Associate positions at HITEC University Taxila, Pakistan, and COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus (CUI Wah) for more than 17 years. He did his Ph.D. in control science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Anhui, Hefei, China (USTC), during which he remained a very active research member of fields related to Visual Robotics, Computer Vision, and Pattern Recognition. He has more than 140 research publications in journals and conferences of international repute with a cumulative impact factor of 235+, more than 6628+ citations, an H-index of 45, and an i10- index of 101. He was honored with the “National Youth Award 2008” in the “Computer Science and Information Technology” category by the Prime Minister of Pakistan on International Youth Day, 12 August 2008. His areas of interest are image processing, deep learning, algorithm analysis, artificial intelligence, and parallel programming. He has so far supervised and co-supervised over 51 MS. He has supervised 3 PhD students. He has also supervised more than 100 R&D projects of undergraduate students. He has continuously been nominated for the COMSATS Research Productivity Award for many years. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of several IEEE societies and councils. He has also been MS/PhD theses internal and external (international) evaluator for many universities. He is an academic editor and reviewer of several prestigious journals, conferences, and books.

Prof. Dr. Yasir Hafeez

Dr. Shariq Hussain

Dr. Shariq Hussain received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in 2007, and a Ph.D. in Applied Computer Technology from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, in 014. Since September 2014, he has been with the Department of Software Engineering at Foundation University Islamabad, Pakistan, where he currently serves as a Professor. Dr. Shariq’s research interests include web services, Internet of Things (IoT), context awareness, power awareness, green computing, and software engineering. He has published research articles, authored a book, filed patents, and serves on editorial boards and review committees of international journals and conferences.

Prof. Dr. Saud Altaf

 National Skill University, Islamabad

Dr. Saud Altaf, a distinguished academic, currently holds the position of Professor and
Chairperson in the Information Engineering Technology Department at the esteemed National
Skills University Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Altaf's academic journey led him to achieve a Ph.D.
from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand in 2015. His educational
credentials also include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Iqra University in
Islamabad, Pakistan, attained in 2007. Dr. Altaf's research interests are diverse, encompassing
areas such as wireless sensor networks, biomedical signal and image processing, cyber-

Prof. Dr. Wazir Zada Khan

Wazir Zada Khan is currently with Department of Computer Science, University of Wah, Wah
Cantt, Pakistan. He received his PhD from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department,
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia and MS in Computer Science from Comsats Institute
of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan. His research interests include Wireless Sensor
Networks, Network Security, Internet of Things and Autonomous Vehicles. More than 15 years
of teaching/professional experience in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Currently working as
Professor and Dean Faculty of Computer Science, University of Wah. Published over 100
research papers in the journals and conferences of international repute with accumulative

Dr Hassan Dawood

University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila

Hassan Dawood received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer application technology from
Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. He is currently an
Associate Professor with the Software Engineering Department (SED), University of
Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan. His research interests include image
restoration, feature extraction, and image classification.

Dr. Ali Javed

 University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila

Dr. Ali Javed is serving as an Associate Professor and Director of the Multimedia Signal
Processing research lab in the Software Engineering Department at UET Taxila, Pakistan. He
served as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the SMILES lab at Oakland University, USA in 2019 where
he worked on one NSF-funded project on Audio Forensics and one Brain Aneurysm
Foundation-funded project on Brain Aneurysm detection and rupture prediction. He also served
as a visiting Ph.D. scholar in ISSF Lab at the University of Michigan, USA in 2015. His areas of
interest are Computer vision, Multimedia Forensics, Video Content Analysis, Image Processing,

Prof. Dr. Khurram Shabbir

Prof. Dr. Khurram Shabbir is currently serving as the Incharge/Director General of the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, GC University Lahore. A tenured Professor of Mathematics with over 16 years of academic and research experience, his areas of expertise include algebraic geometry, topology, and combinatorics. He has published more than 60 research articles in internationally recognized impact factor journals and has led several nationally funded research projects. Dr. Muhammad Imran Asjad

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran Asjad serves as Director of the Center for Mathematics and Applications (CMAP) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. A Professor of Mathematics, he brings over 12 years of exceptional academic leadership and research excellence. His research portfolio covers fractional calculus, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mathematical modelling, soliton and wave theory, and predictive modelling with machine learning and artificial neural networks.
Dr. Asjad has supervised 12 PhD dissertations, 75 MPhil theses, and 10 BS projects. He is an editor and reviewer for numerous reputable international journals and has led several special issues in collaboration with distinguished scholars in applied mathematics. Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas

Vice Chancellor Kohat University of Science and Technology

Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas, a distinguished physicist, currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), a position he assumed in May 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics, specializing in quantum phenomena and condensed matter systems, and has a robust history in teaching, research, and university leadership. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sultan

Pro‑Vice Chancellor, Kohsar University Murree

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sultan currently serves as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kohsar University Murree and is a renowned expert in condensed matter physics and nanotechnology. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2012 and later completed postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA. His extensive research focuses on photovoltaics, ultrafast dynamics, and the development of nanomaterials for energy applications. Prior to his current role, Dr. Sultan served as Principal Scientist at the National Centre for Physics (NCP), Islamabad, and held additional responsibilities such as Director ORIC and Chairman of the Department of Physics at KUM. He has also been an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Saif Ullah Awan

College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering NUST, Islamabad

Dr. Saifullah Awan is a Professor at the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with over 20 years of academic and research experience. He holds a PhD in Nanotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University (2007–2014). His research focuses on nanomaterials, electrical systems, and control engineering. He has authored numerous publications in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Awan received the prestigious NRPU research grant worth PKR 14.35 million in 2016–17, awarded by the President of Pakistan, and earned Research Productivity Awards from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology for the years 2014 and 2015 in recognition of his scientific contributions.

Prof. Dr. Tahir Mehmood earned his PhD in Statistics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and is currently a Professor at the School of Natural Sciences, NUST, Islamabad. He was recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists by Elsevier in October 2022 and listed in NUST’s top 50 scientists in August 2021. With extensive experience in teaching and research, his work focuses on data mining, statistical analysis, and modeling real-life processes. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam

BZU, Multan, Pakistan

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam is a Tenured Professor of Statistics at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, where he earned his PhD in Statistics. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Institut de Mathématiques de Bourgogne, Université de Bourgogne, France. With over 28 years of teaching experience, his research focuses on Regression Modeling, Data Analytics, Statistical Computing, Applied Statistics, and Anthropometry. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jawad Hassan

 Shifa Tameer e Millat University, Medical Geneticist, Shifa International Hospitals

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jawad Hassan is a distinguished Medical Geneticist at Shifa International Hospitals and Professor of Biosciences at STMU, Islamabad. He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Quaid-i-Azam University and has over 15 years of teaching and research experience. With 45 publications, an H-index of 18, and several national/international research grants, his work focuses on human genetics, neurogenetics, and rare hereditary disorders. Dr. Sajid Malik

Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad

Dr. Sajid Malik is a Professor in the Department of Zoology at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He earned his Ph.D. and completed his postdoctoral research at Philipps University Marburg, Germany. With over 18 years of academic and research experience at the university level, he has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications, accumulating over 2,200 citations. Dr. Sara Mumtaz

Dr. Sara Mumtaz is an Associate Professor at the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi. Her research focuses on disease genetics, particularly congenital and neurological disorders in consanguineous populations. She collaborates internationally to investigate genetic risk factors using molecular and functional biology approaches. Dr. Mumtaz has contributed significantly to genetic counselling and early diagnosis initiatives in Pakistan. She also works on developing patient registries and biobanks for genetic epidemiology research.

Dr. Haroon Ahmed
