Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher is a SAARC Gold Medalist, a distinguished professor and vice chancellor of University of SWAT. He has received his PhD degree from GC University Lahore in Plant Ecology in 2006. Prof Dr. Rehmatullah Qureshi
He earned PhD degree in the field of Plant Taxonomy & Ethnobotany from the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur (Mir’s), Sindh, Pakistan in 2005. He started his teaching career by joining the Department of Botany, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, and Rawalpindi, Pakistan. So far, he has published 246 research articles, 4 international books and 12 book chapters. His cumulative impact factor is >300 with >7000 citations with h-index 44 and was ranked as 70th Productive Scientists of Pakistan in 2017. His research interest includes plant biodiversity & conservation, Phytosociology, ethnobotany, pharmacology and biochemistry. He has founded a spin-off company called “Himalayan Hemp & Herbal Products (Pvt.) Limited” and developed 20 commercial products. He also initiated a skill-based degree in BEMS at his university.
Prof Dr. Tariq Mahmood
Dr. Tariq Mahmood got his PhD degree from PMAS-UAAR in Biochemistry and is working at Department of Plant Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, since 2007. He is an active member of Pakistan Science Academy. With a exceptional record of over 200 publications, 55 book chapters, more than 8000 citations and h-index of 46, he stands among the prominent scientists of Pakistan. He is recipient of Prof. Abdul Salam Prize in biology under 40, talented young scientist program sponsored by Ministry of Science, China. Dr. Hamayun Shaheen is a tenured Professor of Botany at the University of AJK, specialized in the vegetation ecology of the Himalayan alpine and temperate regions. He holds a PhD in Plant Sciences along with a postgraduate diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing. Leading a research group, his work integrates botany and geospatial tools to study threatened species and address climate change and biodiversity loss. Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman has over 1267 publications in the fields of organic chemistry including 50 patents, 366 books and 70 chapters in books published by major U.S. and European presses and 781research publications in leading international journals. On the basis of his researches, 82 students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees in various areas of natural product chemistry. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Ahmed completed his Ph.D. degree in the field of Organic Synthesis/ Heterocyclic Chemistry. Dr Mudassar Raza
Dr. Mudassar Raza, SMIEE, Chair Publications (Elect), IEEE Islamabad Section, is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Namal University, Mianwali, Pakistan. He has an overall job experience (teaching + research) of more than 20 years at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Previously, he has served in Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Research Associate positions at HITEC University Taxila, Pakistan, and COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus (CUI Wah) for more than 17 years. He did his Ph.D. in control science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Anhui, Hefei, China (USTC), during which he remained a very active research member of fields related to Visual Robotics, Computer Vision, and Pattern Recognition. He has more than 140 research publications in journals and conferences of international repute with a cumulative impact factor of 235+, more than 6628+ citations, an H-index of 45, and an i10- index of 101. He was honored with the “National Youth Award 2008” in the “Computer Science and Information Technology” category by the Prime Minister of Pakistan on International Youth Day, 12 August 2008. His areas of interest are image processing, deep learning, algorithm analysis, artificial intelligence, and parallel programming. He has so far supervised and co-supervised over 51 MS. He has supervised 3 PhD students. He has also supervised more than 100 R&D projects of undergraduate students. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran Asjad serves as Director of the Center for Mathematics and Applications (CMAP) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas, a distinguished physicist, currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), a position he assumed in May 2025. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sultan currently serves as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kohsar University Murree and is a renowned expert in condensed matter physics and nanotechnology. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2012 and later completed postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA.
